coin put in mouth of dead person as money for him using after death.
According to history Thai belief. we
used cowrie shell as money and later changed to baht coin.
And will be picked up and kept as
talisman by family after burning the corpse.
People believe keeping this coin will bring good luck, money and protect from danger.
Because it is item from dead person, the taker has to do a proper ceremony as asking permission from the dead person and also respect for them.
